  Concentration is variable:

  • Distilled vinegar: 5-8% acetic acid.
  • Spirit of vinegar: 5-20% acetic acid.
  • Domestic vinegar: 1.0 M solution (Wikipedia) - pH 2.4.

  CH₃COOH (second simplest form of carboxylic acid - i.e., methane as the R-group).
